Group Tour Programmes

The Penrith Museum of Printing is pleased to offer two new tour programmes especially designed for schools and community groups.

Both sets of tours are designed to provide participants with an insight into the development of the printed word and the art of letterpress printing.

Like many arts and crafts that have disappeared over time, the art of letterpress printing has all but vanished and given way to the computer based technologies of today.

With these things in mind, our "Schools Programme" has been designed to expose young people to past technologies so that by seeing, hearing, and interacting they can have a better understanding of the printing progress of the past that opened up learning and understanding to the world through the printed word.

Our programme can be tailored to meet the needs of primary, secondary and tertiary level students.

Visiting Tip !
